Schedule dependent upon assigned classes. Salaries are dependent upon education and semesters taught at MCC per the MCC Adjunct Faculty Agreement 24/25.
MCC instructors are higher-education professionals who champion student learning. They engage and inspire students, applying innovative teaching and learning pedagogies in instruction. They assess student learning to ensure students success, staying abreast of trends in the discipline. Our instructors collaborate within the College as discipline experts, helping the College reach its strategic goals through active participation in college committees and by promoting the College to future students throughout our community.

- Teach the assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives and Concourse syllabus using instructional strategies to engage students.
- Develop and manage course syllabus, materials, and assignments.
- Provide feedback and evaluate students' performance throughout the learning process, including availability for student conferences either before or after class and via email if necessary.
- Maintain and submit class syllabus, grades, attendance records, and required course‑related data.
- Use educational technology (e.g., course management platform such as Canvas).
- Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results.
- Maintain currency in professional field.
- Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence.
- Course specific minimum qualifications (approved annually by the Board of Trustees) are available in all Academic Division Offices.
- Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.
- Commitment to the mission of the community college and to teaching and motivating students in ways appropriate to their diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
