Substitute Teacher

Substitute pay is calculated on the number of periods of student contact. This includes periods in which courses are taught and assigned supervision, but does not include planning or lunch periods. A typical teacher schedule includes 5 course periods and 1 assigned supervision, totalling 6 periods of student contact during the 9-period school day. This breaks down to $24.69 per period.

Assignments that are less than or more than the typical 6 student contact periods will be paid accordingly at the same per-period rate. Please view the Substitute Paraprofessional or Long-Term Substitute postings for compensation and details specific to those positions.
