Lunch & Playground Supervisor

Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has an opening for a Lunch & Playground Supervisor. The goal of this position is to maintain a positive environment through safe and efficient supervision of school activities in the lunchroom and on the playground. The ideal candidate will: supervise students and maintain order in the lunchroom, on the playground and in the halls/corridors. Assist in guiding students in development of desirable and acceptable social skills and habits.

Assist in general welfare and safety of students. Report accidents and hazardous conditions immediately. Resolve problems that might arise. Inform teacher and/or principal of any serious problems. Maintain the school rules and be consistent with discipline. Encourage healthy attitudes and good bus/playground/lunchroom standards. Consistently encourage following rules and organization of games to help establish habits of fair play in order to enjoy wholesome recreation activities.

Periodically inspect the safety of equipment on the playground and report safety concerns. Respond immediately to safety complaints made by students. Send students to the nurse on matters that require immediate medical attention. Perform other related duties as assigned.
