Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has openings for homebound instructors. The goal of this position is to effectively assume teaching responsibilities for students placed on homebound instruction due to a medical condition and certification provided by a physician. The instruction takes place in the student's home only on school days and/or during school hours during the time period indicated by the physician on the medical certification.

• Effectively implement the lesson plans provided by a teacher and/or create lesson plans appropriate to provide the student exposure to the same curriculum as their peers.
• Translate lesson plans into learning experiences to best use the available time for instruction and meet the student's educational needs.
• Maintain established standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
• Maintain professional competence and confidentiality.
• Report to the teacher/home school building through written communication about the activities completed during the homebound instruction.

• Elementary Education K-9 preferred.
• Must provide own transportation.
• Maintains positive attitude, professionalism, demonstrates flexibility and displays excellent interpersonal communication skills.
