Position Summary
Workweek: Schedule depends on assigned classes.
Compensation: Salaries are based on education and semesters taught at MCC as outlined in the MCC Adjunct Faculty Agreement FY24–FY25 through FY26–FY27.

We are home to Economics, History, and Political Science. MCC instructors are higher‑education professionals who champion student learning, engage and inspire students with innovative teaching and learning pedagogies, assess student learning to ensure success, stay current with discipline trends, and collaborate across the college to support curricular goals and promote MCC in the community.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities- Teach the assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives and Concourse syllabus using instructional strategies to engage students.
- Develop and manage a working syllabus, course materials, and assignments.
- Provide feedback and evaluate students’ performance throughout the learning process, which may involve student conferences before or after class, and via college email if necessary.
- Maintain and submit class syllabus, grades, attendance records, and required course‑related data.
- Use educational technology (e.g., course management platform such as Canvas).
- Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results.
- Maintain currency in the professional field.
- Work cooperatively within the department, division, and across the College to strive for educational excellence.
- Course‑specific minimum qualifications approved annually by the Board of Trustees and available in all Academic Division Offices.
- Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.
