Schedule dependent upon assigned classes. Salaries are based on education and semesters taught at MCC per the MCC Adjunct Faculty Agreement FY24-FY25 through FY26-FY27. For inquiries regarding minimum qualifications, email hiring.
MCC instructors are higher‑education professionals who champion student learning, engage and inspire students, apply innovative teaching and learning pedagogies, assess student learning, collaborate with college committees, and promote the college.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities- Teach the assigned class in accordance with learning objectives and Concourse syllabus using instructional strategies to engage students
- Develop and manage working syllabus, course materials, and assignments
- Provide feedback and evaluate students' performance throughout the learning process, including availability for student conferences and via college email if necessary
- Maintain and submit class syllabus, grades, and attendance records, and required course‑related data
- Use educational technology (e.g., course management platform such as Canvas)
- Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results
- Maintain currency in professional field
- Course specific minimum qualifications approved annually by the Board of Trustees and available in all Academic Division Offices.
- Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.
- Commitment to the mission of the community college and to teaching and motivating community college students in ways appropriate to their diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
