Location: Crystal Lake, IL
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing team. This role supports the design and customization of mechanical equipment built to unique customer specifications. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys variety in design work, and is comfortable collaborating closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and project management.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Entry-level to 2 years of mechanical design experience (internships/co-ops welcome)
- Experience with 3D CAD software (Fusion, Solid Works, Inventor, Creo, or similar)
- Ability to read and create engineering drawings (basic GD&T knowledge)
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, custom manufacturing environment
- Experience or coursework related to engineer-to-order or custom equipment design
- Familiarity with fabrication processes (machining, sheet metal, welding)
- Exposure to ERP/PLM systems and revision control
- Hands‑on shop or assembly experience
The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
