OverviewWe are currently looking for a qualified Field Service Technician to join our team. This position provides technical assistance for our equipment to our customers worldwide and requires working within a team environment with Contract Sales, Component Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities- Troubleshoot equipment primarily in the field and at times in the office.
- Oversee equipment modification.
- Assist and/or participate in test and tuning of equipment.
- Document service activities and results.
- Provide on‑site training and preventive maintenance inspections for our customers.
- Document and report any safety concerns related to the installation and operation of our equipment.
- Promote the sale of component parts at customer sites.
- Provide constant feedback to Sales, Manufacturing and Engineering.
- Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, procedures and the GK SCOPE Program.
- Assist in research and development and demonstration activities.
- Travel worldwide as needed for up to 3–4 weeks at a time.
- Work on equipment that may require climbing ladders, crawling under objects, and operating under harsh conditions.
- Understand basic business concepts and respond to customer requests.
- Apply existing policies and procedures while building technical knowledge.
- Resolve problems by identifying and analyzing issues logically and comprehensively, distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information.
- Take ownership and support work‑related initiatives.
- Interact with others to produce meaningful outcomes.
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in metalworking, power transmissions, mechanical equipment, electrical control, and/or programming (plus).
- Bi‑lingual abilities (plus).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. The range is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation; other factors such as experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity are considered.
