Talent Manager, HR Manager, Employee Relations, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to hire a Human Resources Manager who will own all HR functions end‑to‑end for multi‑state operations in Illinois and Wisconsin.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role for an HR professional who enjoys building structure, ensuring compliance, and serving as a trusted advisor to leadership.
About the RoleAs the HR Manager, you will be the sole HR leader
, responsible for everything from employee relations and compliance to payroll, benefits, safety, and policy development. You’ll work closely with leadership, legal counsel, and operations to support both people and business goals.
- Owning all HR functions including employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, and investigations
- Ensuring compliance with federal,
Illinois and Wisconsin employment laws - Processing payroll using Paycor
- Managing benefits and 401(k) administration
- Partnering with legal counsel and supporting audit preparation
- Developing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
- Overseeing safety programs and OSHA compliance
- Supporting a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of HR experience
, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments - Strong knowledge of Illinois & Wisconsin labor laws
- Hands‑on experience with Paycor
- Comfortable owning HR in a standalone role
- Willingness to travel between IL & WI locations as needed
- PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred
- True ownership of HR — no siloed responsibilities
- Ability to build and improve processes
, not just maintain them - Direct partnership with leadership
- Visible, business‑critical role in a growing organization
Work Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days a week on site, travel between locations as needed
Compensation: $100-135k
