Maintenance Planner

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for parts room and inventory management, ensuring proper organization and storage of parts. You will order and expedite parts required for immediate repairs while maintaining proper inventory levels. Your role will involve calculating costs of orders and processing invoices, scheduling returns for repair parts, and evaluating supplier options. You will provide delivery dates and updates to the maintenance team and manage vendor order statuses.

Additionally, you will support facility operations by assisting with meeting setup and maintain the maintenance program responsibilities through CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper organization and storage of parts in the parts room and maintenance shop.
• Order and expedite parts required for immediate repairs and maintain proper inventory levels.
• Perform required cycle counts on parts.
• Calculate costs of orders and process invoices accordingly.
• Evaluate prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best supplier options.
• Provide delivery dates of parts to the maintenance team.
• Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries.
• Track the status of vendor orders and provide updates to the maintenance team.
• Transport parts to and from repair facilities for equipment repairs.
• Assist in setting up meetings with necessary equipment.
• Maintain corrective, preventive, predictive, and work orders through CMMS.
• Maintain KPI dashboards.

Essential Skills

• Minimum High School Diploma
• 2-3 years of experience managing a parts room
• MRP/ERP experience required
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in computerized inventory systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CMMS experience preferred
• Understanding of a PM schedule
• Experience with maintenance planning software
• Knowledge of SAP and production planning
• Familiarity with inventory control and cycle counts

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal Lake, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
