About the Opportunity

My client is a leading manufacturer of high-performance plastic films used across many industries and applications. Their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and consistent product quality has earned a trusted reputation in the market globally, now in the business for over 50 years. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join the team and help elevate their quality systems and product standards.

Role Summary

As the Quality Manager, you will oversee all aspects of product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts across the production process. You'll play a critical role in maintaining certifications, managing quality assurance personnel, and ensuring that every bit of film that leaves the facility meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality Assurance team to support daily operations and long-term goals.
• Oversee and improve quality management systems (QMS), including ISO certifications.
• Monitor and analyze quality data, customer complaints, and internal metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Ensure raw materials, in-process products, and final goods meet defined specifications.
• Partner with production, engineering, and R&D teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct internal audits and manage external quality audits and customer inspections.
• Train staff on quality protocols, inspection techniques, and compliance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing setting, preferably in plastic film or polymer manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, SPC, and other relevant quality standards.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, or CAPA systems.
• Effective leadership and communication abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with blown/cast film extrusion processes.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• Familiarity with sustainability metrics or regulatory compliance in plastics films.
