MACHINE OPERATOR
Reports to:
Shift Supervisor
FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt

Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM
SUMMARYOperate induction heating production lines, including washing and packaging of finished product.
QUALIFICATIONS- High School diploma or equivalent
- Assembly or production line experience
- Must understand and follow operating procedures
- Understand how product flows through IHT
- Diligence and attention to detail
- Able to recognize differences in hardened and unhardened parts and keep separate
- Visual awareness of good and questionable parts
- Alert to changing conditions in the immediate process and surrounding areas
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures
- Comprehension of shop orders
- Oral and written communication skills
- Operate induction hardening production lines, wash parts, or pack completed product back into designated containers for shipping
- Follow Visual Shop procedures
- Stage parts for production and move completed parts
- Notify supervisor of product discrepancies
- Complete required paperwork such as shop order, , Green Empty tags, etc.
- Maintain work areas and aisles in a clean, orderly and safe manner
- Report to the assigned machine in a timely manner
- Move quickly to the following job
- Communicate effectively at shift change
- Be aware of and follow customer requirements for part handling and processing per shop order or verbal instructions

- Handle all parts with care to ensure no damage is done
- Be sure your completed container is really empty
- Ask questions when unsure of the process
- Available for overtime and Saturdays as needed

- Occasional loud noise (examples: compressed air discharging, vibratory bowl)
- There will be busy forklift traffic
- There are processes where the use of PPE is mandatory
