Registered Nurse, Emergency Room - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by assessing patients, giving medications and treatments
• Creates care plans and documents care accurately
• Works closely with doctors and other healthcare team members to support patient safety and educate patients and families
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities
• Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to support patient’s longitudinal plan of care
• Participates in professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, and decisions

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• ADN required upon hire
• BSN preferred
• Licensed as an RN in state of practice
• Approved CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days
• Other certification(s) per unit requirements (e.g. ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and NRP)
• Passing the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring)
• Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check
• Must be able to follow written or oral instructions

Demonstrates expertise in patient care, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning, while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams to enhance patient safety and education. Holds relevant nursing certifications and adheres to compliance standards in clinical practice.
