Position: Quality Manager          at Accurate Personnel        in        Crystal Lake,        Illinois

Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all quality assurance and quality control functions within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards while driving continuous improvement, reducing defects, and maintaining compliance with applicable quality systems and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including compliance with ISO standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure product quality requirements are met.
  • Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to improve process performance and product quality.
  • Manage, train, and develop quality team members.
  • Lead PFMEA activities to identify process risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain ISO certification and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Manage customer complaints, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and quality reporting.
  • Utilize quality tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, and Design of Experiments (DOE) to resolve complex quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and process capability analysis.
  • Perform supplier and internal quality audits.
  • Reduce scrap and overall cost of quality through data-driven decision making.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to achieve quality objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Experience implementing and utilizing SPC methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of PFMEA and quality risk management.
  • Experience maintaining ISO-compliant quality systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause investigation skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of quality management experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Preferred Certifications

  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • ISO Lead Auditor Certification

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, safety-toe footwear, and reflective vests.
  • Manufacturing environment may include exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • Overtime, extended shifts, and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
