Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem‑solving skills, a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay,Schedule, and Location
- Starting at $65,000

- 2nd and 3rd shifts
- Located in Crystal Lake, Illinois
- Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding workplace safety, quality standards, and productivity goals.
- Preventive Maintenance:
Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. - Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with equipment and systems in a timely manner. - Facility Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including HVAC systems, plumbing, lighting, and general building upkeep. Address any issues promptly. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Complete work orders and ensure proper documentation for future reference. - Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members and departments to address maintenance needs and support operational goals. - Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and procedures. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay current on all operation techniques and safety guidelines.
- Efficiently perform tasks and assignments as directed by leadership, assuring adherence to company standards and deadlines.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance or a similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety toe boots, reflective vests, and hard hats.
- Maintenance Technicians work in a dynamic environment where they are exposed to a range of conditions, including both indoor and outdoor areas.
- The shop floor may be noisy, dusty, and exposed to various temperature conditions.
- Technicians must be able to stand for long periods and walk throughout the facility.
- This role often requires bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. In addition, physical strength and stamina to perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy equipment, and endure physically demanding conditions.
- The job requires good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools, performing precise repairs, and assembling or disassembling components.
- Dependent on product demand, production schedule and deadlines, employees may be required to work overtime including extended shifts and weekends.
