Job Title

Sr Java Developer

Remote – Chicagoland only – Occasional meetings at Downer's Grove, IL

Contract position set to last the remainder of 2026 with possibility for extension every 6 months

Competitive W2 hourly rate ($64/hr – $77/hr), access to healthcare and dental insurance plan of choice. Equipment provided, including a company‑issued laptop.

• Participate in and contribute to solution design discussions.
• Meaningfully contribute to requirements gathering and refinement sessions.
• As part of a scrum team, deliver high quality production‑ready code, perform code reviews, and mentor more junior developers.
• Full‑stack development — from CSS to database schema design.
• Assist with production issues, code promotions, and related activities.
• Help the team grow by bringing fresh ideas to the table and challenging current practices.
• Keep up to date with current software development trends and contribute those insights to the team.

• 10+ years of Java web application development.
• Java Enterprise (Java EE/J2EE) and Hibernate frameworks experience.
• Broad familiarity with Spring (e.g., Spring Boot, SpringMVC, Spring Data, etc.).
• Knowledge of various web technologies (REST, SOAP, XML, etc.).
• Solid foundational understanding of Java programming.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Understanding of supporting technologies (e.g., git, Linux, SSL, etc.).
• Strong communication skills; comfortable talking to the business.
• Experience with microservices (Spring Cloud APIs) preferred.
• PCF experience (on prem) preferred.
• Jenkins experience preferred.
• Git Hub experience preferred.
