Adult Academic Program Teacher for Multi-Level English Language ClassCrystal Learning Center, Adult Academic Program
Monday through Thursday, 11:45 am - 2:15 pm, and 5:30 - 8:30 pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays (16 hours of instruction and 2.75 hours paid prep weekly)
Salary and Benefits based on Appendix E of the 24-25 Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement
Reports to the Adult Basic Education Program Director
PRIMARY FUNCTIONProvide quality instruction aligned to the state and national standards. Use a variety of assessment strategies - diagnostic, formative and summative, to inform instructional decisions and increase student self-management of learning. Rigorous inquiry-based learning tasks engage students in deep content of the discipline as well as the habits of scholarship. May be required to work as a member of the campus STEM team to ensure quality integrated instruction across disciplines.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Chooses and/or designs instructional activities relevant to adult students' level
- Provides small group and virtual instruction
- Builds rapport between staff and students
- Maintains student and program records as directed by Program Director
- Administers progress testing according to MDE schedule requirements
- Plans and coordinates the work of paraprofessionals and/or volunteers to assist with instruction; provides appropriate feedback
- Bachelor degree and current Minnesota teacher license in any field with certification in one of the following preferred: ABE, ESL, foreign language or Bachelor's or Master's degree in English as a Second Language, applied linguistics, or bilingual education.

- Cooperation as a member of a professional teaching team
