ATI Forged Products produces and markets a wide range of specialty metal alloys, including titanium, nickel, and steel forgings, to end‑use markets such as aerospace, energy, oil & gas, and general industrial markets. We operate several facilities and deliver products to customers worldwide.
We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Cudahy, WI plant, located approximately five miles south of Milwaukee.
This position involves designing, drawing, and specifying electrical components and systems for machinery, tools, equipment, buildings, and facilities of varying complexity. Responsibilities include working under supervision on experimental and developmental projects, preparing assembly and detailed drawings, bills of material, and procedural documentation.
Position responsibilities include:- Makes design layouts utilizing electrical engineering principles for substations, power distribution, lighting, induction heating, machine power and control circuitry, communications systems, or other electrical installations.
- Work from layouts, instructions, specifications, or other requirements.
- Ensure accuracy, perform mathematical computations, and maintain functional correctness of designs.
- Develop new customer relationships and support existing ones.
- Prepare detailed drawings, bills of material, specification sheets, procedures, instructions, and other technical data.
- Investigate routine problems concerning the electrical considerations of machinery, tools, equipment, buildings, or facilities.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, draftsmen, and other departmental representatives on system requirements or performance.
- Maintain job‑working records and prepare reports and correspondence.
- Lead or assist a small group (1–2) of technicians, draftsmen, or engineers on assigned tasks.
- Architect, modify, and maintain mission‑critical systems.
- Lead or participate in problem‑solving activities; engineer and implement solutions.
- Lead or participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of new automation systems.
- Interact with internal customers as required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in industrial electrical engineering.
- Database interface familiarity.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and ladder logic.
- Understanding of process automation network infrastructures.
