New Grads/Early Career Program
Are you graduating with an engineering degree in May or June of 2026? Are you interested in joining a world leading supplier of castings to the aerospace and defense markets?
CPP is recruiting for a new Engineering Development Program (EDP) with a cohort starting June/July 2026. This rotation program is designed to provide new graduates in engineering disciplines with accelerated learning and growth toward technical leadership or technical expert positions within CPP.
Program DetailsThe program exposes participants to different disciplines of engineering within casting over two years by working in at least two manufacturing sites/facilities. Participants will spend one year at two different CPP facilities in Southern California.
What will make you a successful candidate?- BS or MS in Engineering (must graduate no later than June 2026).
- Must be a US Person (US citizen or Legal Permanent Resident).
- Strong academic record.
- (Internal Candidates) Must be a current CPP Employee with a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 6 years of CPP experience in a technical or engineering role may be considered in lieu of applicable degree.
- Related intern/co‑op experience or exposure in manufacturing preferred.
- A willingness and ability to learn every day.
- Desire to work in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- $80,000 base salary.

- One‑on‑one mentorship with a CPP technical leader.
- Exposure and networking opportunities; participants present to the EDP Advisory Board quarterly and meet regularly with Plant and Divisional leadership.
- Experience at multiple CPP facilities; the rotation program includes placement in at least two different facilities.
- Benchmark trips to other CPP facilities nationwide.
Rotation will be in either Cudahy or Rancho.
Sponsorship & ITAR RequirementsSponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent and consistent basis without company sponsorship now and in the future.
