Engineering Technician

Job Title

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Promote safety as the number one priority for all Lucas employees.

Assist engineers with day-to-day project tasks and engineering assignments including testing, data collection, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Support design, testing, analysis, and documentation activities.

Create, revise, and maintain CAD drawings, models, and engineering documentation.

Support machine programming, setup, and optimization activities for manufacturing equipment and automated processes.

Assist with CNC, PLC, robotic, or other machine programming updates as directed by engineering staff.

Collect, organize, and analyze data related to engineering projects.

2-Year Technical Degree or Equivalent Experience in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Manufacturing, or related field).

Experience with or willingness to learn CAD software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar platforms.

Exposure to machine programming, CNC programming, PLCs, automation systems, or manufacturing equipment preferred.

Basic understanding of engineering principles related to field of study.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and process documentation.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
