Structural Fitter Welder (Heavy Plate)

We are seeking an experienced Structural Fitter Welder to join a growing team specializing in heavy plate fabrication in Cudahy, WI. This role involves fitting and welding structural components using blueprints and specifications, with a focus on precision and quality.

• Fit and weld heavy plate material up to 1 inch thick
• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Perform MIG welding using.
  032–.045 wire
• Measure, cut, and align materials to ensure proper fit-up
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, torches, and measuring tools
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Previous experience as a structural fitter/welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Experience working with heavy plate (up to 1")
• Proficiency in MIG welding (.032–.045 wire)
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
• Welding certifications are a plus
• Preferred experience with large structural assemblies
