Construction Inspector II, CWI

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection according to training, procedures, and contract specifications
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Document findings and results clearly
• Prepare inspection reports and document nonconformance
• Analyze data to verify accuracy before submitting it to the Project Manager
• Communicate information to the Project Manager and other personnel
• Interact with clients and site personnel regarding resolution of findings
• Assist the Project Manager with developing testing and inspection service scopes
• Coordinate pre-dispatch activities with project, department, and office managers
• Maintain equipment operation and calibration
• Assist senior inspectors on large, complex projects
• Follow safety rules, perform pre-task planning, and report safety concerns
• Maintain quality standards on all projects

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in construction inspection
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications
• At least three certifications in the listed areas, including AWS CWI, ASNT Level II, ICC, ACI, or radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), ASNT Level II, ICC, ACI, or radiation safety/Nuclear Density Gauge certifications as applicable
• ACI certification is not required when specified alternative certifications are obtained and concrete field/laboratory testing is not required
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification is not required when specified alternative certifications are obtained and soils testing is not required
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology preferred

Demonstrates expertise in construction inspection, including reading and interpreting construction drawings, documenting findings, and maintaining quality standards. Proficient in safety protocols and equipped with relevant certifications to ensure compliance and accuracy in inspection processes.
