Your Role

We are looking for a dynamic Field Sales Executive who will establish relationships with new customers, secure contracts, and drive the entire sales cycle from initial engagement to closing. The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, hunter‑type professional with strong B2B sales experience in transportation or logistics.

What You’ll Do
  • Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to close sales.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prospect for potential customers using direct methods (calling, face‑to‑face meetings) and indirect methods (networking).
  • Provide best‑case and volume sales forecasts over relevant time periods.
  • Give sales presentations, submit opportunities, and report activity/results to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain functional knowledge of our products, services, and operations.
  • Interact regularly with station and operations managers and develop close working relationships with operational staff to ensure customers’ needs are met.
  • Schedule and conduct a predetermined number of face‑to‑face sales visits as directed.
  • Enter sales call information into the sales data system or other designated software.
  • Maintain a predetermined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts and progress toward closing.
  • Meet or exceed sales quota established by the company.
  • Work cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a team‑selling environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply‑chain knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 10+ years of sales experience in transportation acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • Hunter mentality.
  • Business‑to‑Business sales experience with a proven history of sales achievements in a base‑plus‑commission environment.
  • Experience closing sales at the executive level.
  • Consideration of individuals transitioning from operations, account management, or customer service in logistics, transportation, or supply chain to sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint), web‑based tools, and job‑specific software applications.
  • Ability to generate complex, error‑free charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Sense of urgency and follow‑up.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think and respond quickly to sales and service issues.
  • Positive, competitive, confident sales approach and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
