Local Truck Driver

Overview

Our client, a leading logistics and transportation organization, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Local Truck Driver to join their team. As a Local Truck Driver, you will be an essential part of the operations supporting timely deliveries and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commitment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Local Truck Driver

Location: Cudahy, WI

Pay Range: $20-$22 per hour

Shift: 1st shift

• Safely operate a truck for route driving, ensuring timely deliveries to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route taken.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

• Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Previous experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and manual labor tasks is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with effective communication abilities.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and moving of goods as part of the loading and unloading process.
