RESRGAutomotive is seeking you to join our team as a Plant Cost Accountant in our Cullman, AL facility! What You Will Do in Your Role
- Prepare and manage the plant budget
, including cost budgets in collaboration with the Plant Manager and Operations. - Break down budget into cost centers and cost elements
, ensuring alignment with capacity utilization and operational plans. - Coordinate with plant leadership and regional FP&A to compile and finalize annual budgets.
- Develop and manage rolling forecasts
, including processing capacity utilization data and preparing financial calculations. - Upload and maintain financial data in One Stream (Management Information System)
- Compile monthly plant financial results
, including:
Preparing accruals, provisions, and reference figures. - Reviewing and validating data accuracy and correct allocation to accounts, cost elements, and cost centers.
- Performing result and variance analysis, including utilization deviations and operational KPIs (CIP, stock turnover, etc.)
- Lead monthly financial review meetings by scheduling, presenting results, and addressing questions from plant leadership.
- Support and advise cost center managers on target vs. actual cost comparisons and assist in planning activities.
- Evaluate and document Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) initiatives and plant improvement activities.
- Perform modeling and scenario analysis for forecasts and long-term business planning.
- Evaluate improvement suggestions through financial analysis and collaborate with stakeholders across departments.
- Track, analyze, and accrue internal complaints
, including vendor and customer-related issues. - Perform evaluation of supplier complaints and related cost impacts.
- Experience in plant accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience working with financial systems (e.g., One Stream or similar ERP/reporting tools).
- Ability to analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operations and leadership.
