* Job Summary:

*** Assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN to include checking vital signs and blood glucose levels, assisting with grooming activities including bathing, hair washing and brushing.
* Change and clean patients with incontinence garments and bedpans.
* Assist patients walking, getting out of bed, changing clothing, and eating.
* Transport patients to other areas of the hospital for testing or procedure(s).
* Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
* Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.## Qualifications
*
* Education:

** High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful graduation and certification from accredited patient care assistant program or certified nursing assistant program required. Must be BLS certified.  
*
* Experience:

** Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques required.

** Additional Skills/Abilities:
** Excellent interpersonal skills required. Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required.
