Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
From design to production, we utilize cutting‑edge digital technologies to help our clients achieve their product development goals. This role will be responsible for repair, installation, and maintenance of equipment and machinery within the maintenance department. As a Maintenance Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality is a priority every time, while also meeting time allowances for each assigned job.
This position requires traveling to the Winchester, TN site as needed, approximately 1-2 times per week.
Responsibilities- Minimize downtime of machines and equipment to meet SyBridge best practices and customer standards.
- Maintain safe operations by keeping the work area clean, organized, and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Disassemble and reassemble machines to repair or replace worn or malfunctioning components and consumables.
- Update and maintain assigned machines per manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain parts inventory, a personal library of machine manuals, company‑assigned laptop, and tools.
- Apply knowledge of high‑speed machining processes, adjustments, and accuracy test procedures.
- Attend ongoing training events sponsored by the company or machine manufacturers to stay up‑to‑date on the latest technology and repair options.
- Operate machine tools such as vertical mills, lathes, and grinders to fabricate parts and assets.
- Install major components such as motors or hydraulic assemblies, inspect parts, sub‑assemblies, and finished products to ensure quality.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various CNC/EDM machines, including Makino, DMG, OKK, Kuraki, and ONA equipment.
- Millwright or Electrical license, high school diploma, or equivalent required.
- Five (5) years of related experience within a maintenance department.
- Five (5) years of CNC service and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Heidenhain, Allen Bradley, and Siemens controls.
- Working knowledge of "G" code programming.
- Experience working in a mechanical capacity and troubleshooting required.
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficient in time management and communication skills.
- Available for on‑call work, overtime, and off‑shifts as required.
- Requires walking and standing most of the day; may lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- May need to climb stairs or steps periodically.
- May need to reach above shoulder height and below the waist.
- Noise levels and temperatures may vary depending on area accessed.
- Potential exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.
- Protective gear such as ear plugs, masks, gloves, and safety glasses may be required in specific areas or duties.
