The Link of Cullman County is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and relationship-focused professional to join our team as our Community Relations & Communications Coordinator.
This position serves as a key ambassador for The Link by strengthening relationships with donors, community partners, volunteers, and the public while coordinating the organization's communications and public relations efforts. Working closely with the Director of Operations, this role supports fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship, community outreach, and strategic communications that advance our mission.

Community Relations & Communications Coordinator
Location:
Cullman, AL
Schedule:
30–40 hours per week (full-time preferred)
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
Reports To:
Director of Operations
Work Schedule:
Primarily Monday - Friday with occasional evenings and weekends for community events, fundraising activities, and public engagements.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, community partners, churches, businesses, civic organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate donor stewardship efforts, including appreciation initiatives and donor communications.
- Manage The Link's communications through social media, newsletters, website updates, press releases, and promotional materials.
- Support fundraising campaigns through strategic communications, storytelling, and promotional planning.
- Represent The Link at community events, networking opportunities, presentations, and outreach activities.
- Coordinate staff participation in public events and community engagements.
- Collect and share stories that highlight the impact of The Link's programs and services.
- Supervise Communications & Marketing Interns and coordinate volunteer support related to communications and donor stewardship.
- Collaborate with staff across the organization to promote programs, services, and community impact.

- Enjoys balancing creative communication with relationship-building and project coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Nonprofit Management, Office Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Two or more years of experience in communications, public relations, nonprofit development, donor relations, marketing, or community relations.
- Meta Business experience with scheduling and content creation.
- Experience with social media management, Canva, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM software, graphic design, and email marketing platforms is preferred.
