Metal Loader

Overview:

As a Metal Loader, your top priority will be to accurately and efficiently load materials for deliveries and customers who pickup.

• Promote and drive safety-first culture, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Operating a forklift to load customer products on trucks and trailers.
• Greet customers and pull materials as listed on picking list.
• Pick and pull all accessories for truckload deliveries.
• Promote and maintain cleanliness of the loading areas.
• Address any discrepancies or issues with customer orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to

• Properly utilize and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Read, write and communicate with customers, employees, contractors and/or visitors effectively and professionally.
• Operate forklift
• Maintain a dependable attendance record.
• Receive instruction and follow directions, including technical and multi-step instructions.
• Work independently as well as in a team.
• Work safely, remain calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous field-related, forklift and/or manufacturing experience

• Standing for long periods of time
• Routine lifting up to 50 lbs (occasional lifting up to 80 lbs)
• Frequent to occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, climbing, bending and twisting
