Position:
Diesel Fitter –
Location:
Cullompton, Exeter – Rate: £17.30 per hour (£35,084 per annum). We are a specialist supplier of hydraulic and electric submersible pumps seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to dismantle, repair and fit diesel pumps, gearboxes and engines.
- Split working time between company workshop and customer sites.
- Dismantle, diagnose and fit a range of diesel pumps and engines.
- Carry out repair work in the workshop on pumps, gearboxes and engines.
- Visit customer sites across Exeter as required.
- Attend callouts for breakdowns according to company rota.
- Apprentice trained in mechanical engineering.
- Previous experience in diesel fitting, ideally on pumps or engines.
- Confident in stripping, repairing and fitting mechanical components.
- Experience as a diesel fitter in the marine sector is a bonus.
- Based within a commutable distance of Cullompton, Exeter.
- Full driving licence – non‑negotiable.
- £17.30 per hour (full time, 39‑hour week).
- Monday to Thursday 8:00‑16:30, Friday 8:00‑15:30.
- Overtime available.
- 33 days holiday including public holidays.
