Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

12-Month Contract-to-Hire

4/10 Work Schedule (Onsite)

FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY)

$80-85/hr on w2

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to support safety operations within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This position will focus on OSHA compliance, risk assessments, hazard analysis, process safety, incident investigations, and safety programs supporting manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct workplace hazard analysis and risk assessments
  • Perform Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and support Process Safety Management (PSM) programs
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry standards
  • Conduct routine safety audits and inspections to identify compliance gaps
  • Support accident/incident investigations and recommend corrective actions
  • Manage safety improvement projects across manufacturing operations
  • Develop and conduct safety training programs
  • Partner with employees, leadership, auditors, customers, and regulatory agencies
  • Support programs involving energetics, explosives, propellants, and hazardous processes
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant EHS/Safety experience
  • Strong experience with OSHA 1910 General Industry requirements
  • Background in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial, or chemical environments
  • Experience with hazard analysis, risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations
  • Knowledge of PHA and PSM processes
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Skills
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
  • Experience with explosives, energetics, munitions, propellants, or pyrotechnics
