Associate Sys & App Mgt & Sup Specialist

As an Associate Sys & App Mgt & Sup Specialist, you will balance your time between service operations and improving day‑to‑day routine activities. You will use tools and big data to optimize operations, collaborate with senior staff and product teams, propose improvements, automate manual effort, and proactively detect anomalies. This role operates in a 24/7 financial environment and may include weekend hours on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exert technical influence to improve the reliability of production products and systems.
  • Resolve moderately sophisticated issues through investigation and solution development for effective mitigation and prevention of future recurrence by means of process, procedure, or tools improvements.
  • Design, develop, test and maintain automation tools to be used by the team and for problem management investigations.
  • Provide periodic weekend support on a rotational basis for production deployments or monitoring activities. Shift premium applies.
  • Participate in system/network projects/enhancements by representing the department, providing technical input, ensuring alignment to documented processes and procedures, and mitigating risk.
  • Be part of a team of product specialists leading critical services from the Swift Central Control Centre.
  • Identify and automate repetitive and manual tasks in day‑to‑day service operations.
  • Optimize tools and use big data to proactively detect anomalies before they affect services.
  • Work with other support staff to standardize product monitoring dashboards and promote harmony among them.
  • Participate in day‑to‑day monitoring, control activities, problem management, and change implementation.
  • Identify problems and use procedures and documentation for the best actions and participation in mitigation or resolution.
  • Implement changes to improve products or mitigate problems on products or underlying infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other groups such as network services, software systems engineering and development teams to restore availability of services and identify and correct problems.
  • Stay current on technical and product changes and new requirements for monitoring and supporting products and applications.
Technical skills & proficiencies Required
  • Experience with HP-UNIX and/or RHEL Linux.
  • Experience with big‑data analytics tools like Kibana and Elastic Search.
  • Experience with Oracle or other DB Platforms.
  • Experience with automation/scripting to optimize operational product management (including ksh, Python, Perl, Bash).
Preferred
  • Familiarity with configuration and deployment management software such as Bitbucket, Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Exposure to network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall, ADC, VPN.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Engineering.

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Culpeper is $64,282 to $119,382 annual USD. Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance.
