Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to build Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions as part of the Infrastructure Operations team. As dedicated cloud regions expand, the team scales network systems, automates processes, and grows our next-generation networks. The engineer will help scale data center networking, support capacity management, and collaborate with internal customers and external vendors under Technical Program Managers.
Responsibilities- Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management.
- Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
- Manage cabling vendor activities and perform quality assurance activities.
- Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change windows and participate in migrations, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Complete customer requests via Remedy trouble ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and low-level application interaction; deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow; collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Travel within the geographical work area is required; up to 40% travel outside the traditional work area may be required, possibly including international travel.
A day in the life of a Network Design Engineer includes attending meetings, executing change management in the data centre, deploying hardware, connecting cabling, troubleshooting links, updating tickets, and collaborating with peers across AWS to innovate and improve for customers.

Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of network design and layout and low voltage (copper/fiber) cabling.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other routing & switching technologies.
- General understanding of data center infrastructure components and sub-components.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your package includes sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
