Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Autonomous Licensed

• Provide outpatient behavioral health services within a collaborative primary care setting
• Provide Advanced Practice Provider services, including assessment and management of patients within the scope of licensing, training, and credentialing
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adolescents and adults
• Diagnose and treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based medication management and therapeutic interventions
• Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychotropic medications in accordance with Virginia regulations and clinical best practices
• Provide ongoing follow-up care, symptom management, treatment monitoring, and medication education
• Collaborate with primary care providers, nursing, and care management teams to support integrated patient care
• Coordinate referrals to specialty behavioral health services, counseling, substance use treatment, and community resources
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a patient-centered, team-based care environment
• Work 32 patient-facing hours plus 8 administrative hours per week; schedule may include weekends and/or evenings

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Current or eligible Virginia Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licensure
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority eligibility
• Minimum of 3 years of psychiatric practice experience
• Ability to practice independently and manage a diverse outpatient psychiatric patient panel
• Experience with ages 5 and up
• Must reside in Virginia and deliver all care from within the Commonwealth
• Reliable high-speed internet required for video-based patient care
• Private, confidential workspace suitable for clinical telehealth
• Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills
• Attention to detail and ability to write legibly
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs.

Demonstrates expertise in providing outpatient behavioral health services, conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, and developing individualized treatment plans. Proficient in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications while collaborating with primary care teams to ensure integrated patient care.
