American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of current MS/Tele experience and a VA or compact RN license in hand.

• Med/Surg Tele unit with primary focus on Med/Surg patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• 13-week contract length
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system
• Required to float between facilities for ICU/ICCU coverage as well as within scope for other units

• Active VA or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg Tele experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required (test-out option available)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code team use required
• Experience with wound care/wound vac, renal failure management, and total joint replacement care preferred
• One professional reference required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Tele unit, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response as needed
• Support may include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and respiratory management such as BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy care
• No mile radius rule in place for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Prefer no RTO during the first week of the assignment, with a maximum of 10 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Former travelers must wait 12 months before returning to this facility, with case-by-case review considered within that timeframe
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
