Schedule:

Part-Time, approximately 15-25 hours per week

Botanical Dwellings and Fulton Found are locally owned retail shops located in downtown Culpeper. Botanical Dwellings is a houseplant and gift shop focused on plants, home goods, and workshops, while Fulton Found is a masculine lifestyle boutique offering apparel, accessories, and gift items. Both shops prioritize thoughtful retail experiences, community engagement, and well-curated products.

As small businesses, our teams work collaboratively to keep both spaces organized, welcoming, and running smoothly.

The Sales Associate role supports the day-to-day operations of the shops through customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, and overall store upkeep. This is a customer-facing, team-oriented position focused on creating a welcoming and well-run in-store experience. While this role is primarily focused on the sales floor, team members are also expected to support behind-the-scenes tasks, including restocking, organization, and general store upkeep as needed.

Welcome and assist customers with plants, gifts, apparel, and home goods

Provide confident, informed plant care guidance and product recommendations

Process transactions accurately and support day-to-day register operations

Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing displays

Restock merchandise and support product flow from backstock to floor

Assist with receiving, pricing, and organizing inventory as needed

Support overall store upkeep, including routine cleaning and organization

Assist with watering plants and maintaining plant health standards

Help maintain an orderly environment that supports both the team and customer experience

Strong interest in plants with a working knowledge of common houseplant care (watering, light, troubleshooting)

Ability to confidently guide customers in plant selection and care

Previous retail or sales experience preferred

Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with customers

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks

Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling

Comfortable performing physical tasks and being on your feet for extended periods

Weekend availability required
