Guidance Counselor: Social/Educational, Child Development/Support
ASWB is looking for graduate level social work students who want to make an impact across the U.S. and Canada.
The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) invites MSW students to complete a unique, highly competitive, bi-national practicum experience serving the regulatory community. Selected students will have a learning opportunity unparalleled in social work with meaningful projects focused on licensure, the future of the profession, and collaboration with partners from across the social work eco‑system.
For the academic year we are seeking students from the U.S. and Canada. The Final date to receive applications is March 31, 2026.
ASWB Is Offering Two Macro Social Work Practicum Programs- Social Work Regulatory Macro Program
- Social Work Executive Leadership Program (CEO-supervised)
- Up to 900 hours of field education for Masters-level student (dependent on program requirements)
- $10,000 student stipend
- Travel and lodging (U.S./Canada, depending on home social work program location)
- Outcomes‑based projects
- Primarily remote learning and project activities
- Belonging and respect for human differences and determination focus
- Legislative policy involvement in various North American jurisdictions
- Direct supervision and mentoring with the ASWB CEO

- Writing sample entitled, "Regulation's Role in the Future of Social Work as a Profession" (no more than 2 pages, double spaced, 12‑point font)
