Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Culpeper, VA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay: $1,400 or more per week, with a pay structure that includes:

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.61 per mile (1,700–1,800 miles per week)
• Solo Stops Pay: $30.00 per stop (5–10 stops per week)
• Safety Bonus: $500 quarterly
• Paid training

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, no weekends. Start time: early AM dispatch.

• Tractor type:
  Day Cab
• Trailer type:
  Flatbed, 53 ft
• Route:
  Local Home Daily, within a 300‑mile radius of the Mid‑Atlantic region
• Freight:
  Load securement only – lumber only strapping
• Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company‑supplied fuel at over 800 facilities nationwide

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background, and motor‑vehicle check (including verification from prior employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test
• Provide a valid Class A CDL with the appropriate endorsements
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs
• Load and unload freight or assist with loading/unloading if required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
