Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Culpeper, VA. The role offers weekly pay up to $1400+, solo miles and stops pay, a safety bonus, paid training, and a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends.
Pay & Compensation- Driver positions pay weekly
- Solo miles: $0.61 per mile (1700–1800 miles per week)
- Solo stops: $30 per stop (5–10 stops per week)
- Safety bonus: $500, four times a year (every quarter)
- Paid training
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, no weekends - Start time: early AM dispatch
- Deliver SOLO to Mid Atlantic Region 300 mile radius
- Route: local home daily
- Tractor type: day cab
- Trailer: flatbed, 53'
- Ryder provides training on all equipment
- Freight: load securement only – lumber only strapping
- Medical, dental & vision after 30 days
- 80 hours PTO first year (use it or get paid for it)
- Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided
- Drivers are the captain – you make safety decisions, job is protected
- 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year
- 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility, including tenure)

- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background & motor vehicle check (includes drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months within past 3 years, or
- 2 years within past 5 years, or
- 5 years within past 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards, maintain accurate records & logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in freight operations if required by customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
