Summary / ObjectiveThe Warehouse and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Warehouse and Receiving departments, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods. This role manages inventory accuracy, enforces quality and safety standards, and supervises a team to ensure timely and compliant material flow. The Supervisor collaborates closely with Production, Quality, and Shipping to support operational efficiency and maintain a safe, well-organized work environment.
Responsibilities- Safely operate forklifts to heights of 10–15 feet and maneuver in tight spaces
- Utilize electric pallet jacks to move materials efficiently and safely
- Oversee inventory organization, accuracy, and control, including verification within the ECAPPS system
- Supervise receiving activities, ensuring materials are properly inspected for quality and damage prior to storage
- Inspect incoming and stored products to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain and optimize warehouse layout to support efficient storage and retrieval of materials
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse and receiving personnel, ensuring adherence to safety policies and company procedures
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Shipping departments to ensure accurate material flow and record-keeping
- Ensure all receiving documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, invoices) is accurately completed and processed
- Promote and enforce safety standards, conducting routine safety reviews and audits
- Frequent use of hands for material handling and equipment operation
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb as required
- Occasional sitting
- Ability to lift and/or move materials weighing 10–50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in inventory management
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices
- Previous forklift certification and hands-on forklift experience preferred
- Experience overseeing receiving operations, including inspection and documentation of incoming materials
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using scanners, barcode systems, and inventory management technology
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and receiving functions
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and warehouse management systems
- Open availability, including weekends and flexible shifts as required
