Accounting Manager, Stores Accounting

Job :  |  Services LLC. Amazon seeks a financial accounting professional with a focus on accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement. The role offers opportunities across Accounting Manager functions in Legal Entity & Intercompany, Accounting Policy & Reporting, Operations and Capital, Transportation, Payments & Merchant Services, Retail Operations, Digital, and AWS Accounting. The environment emphasizes customer-centricity, collaboration, learning, and movement within the Accounting organization.

• Supporting various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.
• End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners.
• Assess internal control design concepts and contribute to designing new processes and controls for growing business activities.
• Execute judgments to keep projects moving and ensure timely monthly close.
• Escalate risks and issues to leadership as necessary.
• Maintain a strong sense of ownership.
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization.
• Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
• Enhance partnerships between Accounting and various business and IT groups.
• Research, conclude, and memorialize technical accounting position papers.

• 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

• CPA
• Knowledge of internal control framework (COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
• Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
• Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
• Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions

The base salary range is listed below. The compensation package includes sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
