Overview of the internships

We have multiple Strategy MBA internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for multiple internship opportunities within this general area. These internships will be located in the LA area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.

Your Role Accountabilities

Duties could include:

* Research and analyze how publishing can drive audience growth for the DC brand, focusing primarily on comics and other general publishing categories across a myriad of demographics.

* Analyze successful comic and general book publishers across different genres and understand their mix of revenue sources. Then, compare those results to DC's own revenue mix, and highlight gaps in strategy.

* Discover global demand for various reading formats and the demographic of readers engaging in various content and formats.

* Qualitative and quantitative analytical support of podcasting initiatives in relation to the strategic goals of the department, specifically around podcast monetization efforts

* Create executive-ready presentations to summarize key findings, recommendations, and evaluations of strategic opportunities

* Summer project designed around collecting information from team members and cross-functional collaborators to then build a new model for metric and performance tracking for our slate of programming

* Assist Manager of Podcast Strategy in developing and implementing audience growth strategies in conjunction with our podcast marketing team, including pursuing partnerships with distribution platforms, networks, and creators to find and engage new listeners.

Qualifications & Experience

Essentials needed for the positions that are similar across the above roles (these do not all have to apply to every single role)

* Solid knowledge of PC/Mac, and Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

* Highly organized and self-directed; able to keep on an assigned track with minimal direction

* Experience in data analytics, sales or market analysis or related field preferred

* Experience with business intelligence tools recommended (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)

* Understanding of KPIs, sales metrics, business case development required

* Ability to work with and interpret data to produce actionable insights and make recommendations to key stakeholders across the company

* Must be actively enrolled in a U.S.

-accredited college or university MBA degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)

* Must be a 1st year MBA student

* Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.

What To Know Before Applying:

June 1st - August 14th

Option 2:
June 8th - August 21st

* Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity

* Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
