Description

This role will support efforts with external partners and collaborate closely with teams throughout Apple to solve problems and implement programs that achieve core business objectives. The role requires a highly motivated and adaptive self-starter to meet goals and hard deadlines. Candidates should have a proven track record of operating successfully within business development teams and a deep understanding of sports data licensing, sports media, and the streaming space.

Responsibilities
  • Your primary focus will be business development for our sports data licensing and live events portfolio with the ability to help shape our overall partnership strategy.
  • Work closely with partners and collaborate with teams across Apple – business operations, product, marketing, engineering, legal, strategic planning, finance, analytics and more.
  • Ensure technical and business objectives are met, and that customers are provided the best live event experience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of meaningful industry work experience with a deep understanding of business development, data licensing, and live events.
  • Strong commitment to the customer experience, putting the Apple user experience first in all partnership discussions.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate a strong point of view clearly and succinctly.
  • Exceptional negotiation, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills; ability to develop strong working partnerships inside and outside of Apple.
  • Superior strategic insight, comfort with detailed modeling and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to develop and manage against detailed budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-starter who works effectively in a fast-paced environment; is comfortable managing ambiguity while delivering results with minimal guidance.
  • Comfort working closely with engineering and product teams to solve complicated technical challenges.
  • Strong project management capability with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Energetic and collaborative teammate who never loses focus on the end consumer.
  • Strong passion for media and consumer technology.
  • JD/MBA or equivalent degree preferred.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,800 and $210,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
