Job Overview

Senior Writer/Video Producer – Wheel of Fortune
, Game Show Group.

The Senior Writer / Video Producer is a core creative leader responsible for developing, writing, and producing high‑impact video assets that support all Wheel of Fortune marketing initiatives. Reporting to the SVP, Brand Creative & Digital Strategy, this role drives concept development and production execution for broadcast promotions, trailers, digital and social content, sizzles, and a wide range of franchise storytelling needs.

The ideal candidate combines strong writing instincts with hands‑on production experience and thrives in a dynamic, fast‑moving, team‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write scripts, concepts, and copy for broadcast promos, brand spots, player features, digital and social videos, sizzles, and internal marketing presentations.
  • Develop creative approaches that reflect the heart of the Wheel of Fortune brand – celebration, energy, gameplay, contestants, hosts, and the iconic puzzle‑solving experience.
  • Craft clear, engaging narratives that elevate key storylines, themes, and franchise moments across all platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with Integrated Marketing team to refine tone, messaging, and campaign ideas.
  • Produce video assets from concept through final delivery—including pre‑production planning, shoot support, field/stage coordination, editorial supervision, and finishing.
  • Work closely with editors, motion designers, production management, and vendors to ensure projects remain on schedule, on budget, and on creative brief.
  • Manage asset pulls and selects from episodic, archival, and shoot materials to streamline editorial workflows and maintain accuracy.
  • Oversee versioning to support all broadcast, streaming, digital, social, partner, and affiliate needs.
  • Lead editorial sessions by shaping selects, pacing, tone, and narrative direction with editors and graphics teams.
  • Ensure every piece aligns with the Wheel of Fortune brand's voice and creative standards – fun, celebratory, polished, and audience‑friendly.
  • Maintain rigorous attention to detail, especially in representing gameplay accuracy, contestant moments, puzzle integrity, and show continuity.
  • Work with Wheel's internal teams to deliver assets that support campaign and franchise needs.
  • Contribute to materials for special episodes, franchise extensions, partnerships, events, and development initiatives.
  • Deliver all assets with a high level of polish and accuracy, meeting technical requirements for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
  • Maintain fluency in evolving platform trends, best practices, and creative formats across linear, streaming, digital, and social channels.
  • Conduct thorough QC on picture, audio, branding, and platform specifications before delivery.
Qualifications
  • 6 years of experience writing and producing promo or marketing content for broadcast, streaming, digital, or social channels.
  • Strong track record in promotional writing, trailer/spot creative, or entertainment marketing.
  • Hands‑on production experience, from planning and shoots to editorial and finishing.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a sharp sense of brand tone, pacing, clarity, and audience appeal.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the Wheel of Fortune franchise is a plus; enthusiasm for game shows, competition formats, or character‑driven storytelling is strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working in a high‑volume creative environment.
