Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Linear Operations Manager , Amazon Live

Linear Operations Manager will lead daily and long‑term operations of the Amazon Live free ad‑supported (FAST) Channel. This role impacts the business by working cross‑functionally with Amazon Live stakeholders—including senior leadership, tech, product, production, operations, and marketing teams. The manager will drive the scaling of the department to meet and anticipate overall business needs, contribute to at least one organizational goal, collaborate with technical and product teams on Amazon’s Shop the Show integration, and analyze programming data to influence business operations and scaling decisions.

As the senior operations lead for the channel, you will own strategy, lead teams across the organization, define objectives, analyze data, implement measurable improvements, and influence resource allocation. The role operates in a high‑visibility, live broadcast environment that requires the ability to quickly resolve crises with cross‑functional teams while maintaining composure.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Own and run the operation of the Amazon Live 24/7 FAST Channel, working with stakeholders across the Amazon Live organization to align day‑to‑day needs with organizational goals.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the channel, including vendor relationships, daily staff meetings, broadcasting best practices (video/audio quality, metadata, playlist management in Amagi, live insertion), scalable problem solving, and budget management.
  • Develop, mentor, and scale a team of freelancers to support channel goals, including expansion to multiple distribution points and increased live content outside core business hours.
  • Create and implement a multi‑year strategy to scale the channel to additional distribution endpoints and an unlimited number of live broadcasts per day.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and product teams (internal and external), breaking down complex requirements and driving roadmap prioritization.
  • Own the technical pipeline, leveraging industry trend expertise to further scale operations.
  • Serve as the channel’s point of contact for other Amazon departments, including Prime Video and FireTV (Live Operations, Product and overall PV FAST Business/vendor relationships).
  • Provide on‑call support during select weekends and nights as needed for technical support.
About The Team

Amazon Shoppable Videos (ASV) is a growing business within the Amazon Advertising, IMDb and Grand Challenge units. ASV delivers the video shopping experience to Amazon consumers, enabling customers to find inspiration, information, entertainment, and community through videos at any point in their shopping journey. The team designs, builds, and operates both owned and operated destination experiences (, Amazon Live FAST channel on Prime Video and FireTV Channels), and federated experiences across the  website.

The channel, launched in 2024, features Amazon’s Shop the Show technology that lets customers browse, shop, and engage with content they are watching on TV by using their mobile device.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or completing complex tasks quickly with little guidance and reacting with appropriate urgency.
  • Knowledge of deliverables and technical specifications for streaming assets.
  • 10+ years of technical broadcast experience, preferably in a streaming environment.
  • Hands‑on experience operating broadcast playlists using Amagi, Frequency, Crispin, or similar platforms.
  • Independent creative and technical decision‑making on content selection, playlists, and live operations in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of technical streaming protocols (RTMP, SRT, HLS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, macros, SQL, and visualization tools (Tableau, Quicksight, etc.).
