Senior Fullstack Developer

ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY

This role supports a new internal platform focused on content rights and licensing management
.

When licensed content is distributed, it comes with specific rules and restrictions around:

• Where content can be shown

• How it can be distributed

• Duration of usage

• Rights granted to external partners

This project involves building an in-house solution to manage rights-in and rights-out workflows
, replacing a currently licensed third-party system. The existing external solution will remain in use during the transition while the internal platform is developed and rolled out.

You will be joining a team responsible for designing and building this system from the ground up
, with a focus on scalable APIs, clean workflows, and long-term ownership.

• Lead development across frontend and backend components

• Build and maintain REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js

• Own backend fundamentals including:

  • Request/response lifecycle

  • Middleware

  • Routing

  • Async behavior and performance considerations

• Develop frontend features using React

• Break down UI requirements into component-based architectures and clearly explain component responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product and design partners to translate workflows into technical solutions

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, estimation, retrospectives)

• Conduct code reviews and maintain code quality and architectural consistency

• Support production needs through debugging, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements

• Frontend Expertise

  • 5+ years of Java Script ,
    HTML
    , and CSS

  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals (scoping, syntax, function patterns)

  • High proficiency with CSS (layout, spacing, positioning, responsive design)

  • Experience with component-driven architectures

• Backend Expertise

  • 2–5+ years working with Node.js and Express

  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design

  • Ability to reason about async workflows and performance

  • Comfort debugging backend systems in production

• Collaboration & Leadership

  • Strong communicator across engineering, product, and design

  • Comfortable working on a net-new internal build while supporting transition from an existing system

  • Willingness to work onsite in a highly collaborative environment
