Position: Lead, People Solutions (Workday Technical Lead)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead, People Solutions (Workday Technical Lead) to serve as the technical owner and architect of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Workday platform and People Technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy, architecture, governance, security model, integration framework, and operational support model across Workday and related HR technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Ownership & Operational Excellence
    :
    Own the overall technical health, stability, performance, and scalability of the Workday platform including governance of Workday security & integrations architecture. Establish and maintain operational support processes, SLAs, monitoring standards, and incident management procedures. Lead root‑cause analysis and remediation efforts for critical production issues and integration failures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform reliability, automation, and operational efficiency. Manage technical debt and platform optimization opportunities across the People Technology landscape.

    Ensure compliance with internal audit, SOX, GDPR, data privacy, and enterprise security standards; conduct periodic security audits & risk assessments. Establish integration standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices. Provide technical oversight and governance for AMS teams, including developers, integration resources, and support personnel.
  • Enterprise People Technology Architecture
    :
    Define and maintain the People Technology architecture roadmap aligned with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives. Evaluate business requirements and recommend scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions. Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams to align People Technology strategies with broader enterprise technology standards. Lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and solution governance activities. Assess technical impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities across People technology platforms.

    Maintain architecture diagrams, technical standards, integration inventories, and data flow documentation.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of enterprise technology experience, including 7+ years of hands‑on Workday technical roles.
  • Technical Expertise
    :
    Workday Security;
    Workday Integrations (Workday Studio, EIB, Connectors, PECI/PICOF, APIs);
    Workday Architecture; strong understanding of Workday business processes and data architecture; experience supporting enterprise people ecosystems and third‑party vendor integrations; knowledge of security governance, audit controls, and compliance frameworks; excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, HRIS, or related field.
  • Workday certifications in Integration, Security, HCM, or related areas.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and HR digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with other HR/People Technologies such as learning platforms (e.g., Cornerstone), recruiting platforms (e.g., Phenom, Greenhouse), survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Perceptyx), skills platforms, case management platforms (Service Now), and time & attendance platforms (UKG, Infor).
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms such as Mule Soft, Boomi, or Informatica.
  • Experience integrating Workday with identity management, payroll, benefits, finance, and analytics platforms.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and Dev Ops & ITSM practices.
  • Experience working in global or multi‑region HR environments.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $142,400 to $178,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
