Lead, People Solutions (Workday Technical Lead)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead, People Solutions (Workday Technical Lead) to serve as the technical owner and architect of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Workday platform and People Technology ecosystem.

This role is responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy, architecture, governance, security model, integration framework, and operational support model across Workday and related HR technologies. The Lead will act as the organization’s primary subject matter expert and technical authority for Workday Security, Integrations, Data Architecture, and Platform Optimization.

The ideal candidate combines deep Workday technical expertise with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and enterprise architecture experience. This individual will partner closely with HR, Payroll, Talent, Finance, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, and external service providers to ensure the People Technology landscape remains scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

• Own the overall technical health, stability, performance, and scalability of the Workday platform including governance of Workday security and integrations architecture.
• Establish and maintain operational support processes, SLAs, monitoring standards, and incident management procedures.
• Lead root cause analysis and remediation efforts for critical production issues and integration failures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Manage technical debt and platform optimization opportunities across the People Technology landscape.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit, SOX, GDPR, data privacy, and enterprise security standards; conduct periodic security audits and risk assessments.
• Establish integration standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• Provide technical oversight and governance for AMS teams, including developers, integration resources, and support personnel.

• Define and maintain the People Technology architecture roadmap aligned with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate business requirements and recommend scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams to align People Technology strategies with broader enterprise technology standards.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and solution governance activities.
• Assess technical impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities across People technology platforms.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, technical standards, integration inventories, and data flow documentation.

• 10+ years of enterprise technology experience, including 7+ years of hands‑on Workday technical roles.
• Strong expertise in Workday Security.
• Strong expertise in Workday Integrations (Workday Studio, EIB, Connectors, PECI/PICOF, APIs).
• Strong expertise in Workday Architecture.
• Strong understanding of Workday business processes and data architecture.
• Experience supporting enterprise people ecosystems and third‑party vendor integrations.
• Knowledge of security governance, audit controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, HRIS, or related field.
• Workday certifications in Integration, Security, HCM, or related areas.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and HR digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience with other HR/People Technologies like learning platforms (Cornerstone, etc.), recruiting platforms (Phenom, Greenhouse, etc.), survey platforms (Qualtrics, Perceptyx, etc.), skills platforms, case management platforms (Service Now, etc.), time & attendance platforms (UKG, Infor).
• Familiarity with middleware platforms such as Mule Soft, Boomi, or Informatica.
