Job Description
The OKTA Engineer will serve as the primary point of contact for operational engineering support for stateside IAM needs.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Service Delivery- Act as a primary technical and operational escalation point for Okta and IAM related incidents
- Drive service delivery, ensuring SLAs, KPIs, and compliance targets are met.
- Ensure clear, timely, and transparent communication between stakeholders and internal teams.
- Translate business requirements into actionable plans for delivery teams.
- Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and updates to senior leadership.
- Coordinate and manage incident, problem, and change management processes for Okta services
- Conduct regular service reviews with stakeholders and provide actionable insights.
- Work with a small team of L2/L3 engineers supporting Okta and IAM environments.
- Prepare and deliver service performance reports, dashboards, and management updates.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization across the environment.
- Collaborate with project teams to support new implementations, migrations, and transformations.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring satisfaction and proactive communication.
Skills & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Design & Architecture- Define and implement Okta architecture, including workflow enhancements, custom connectors, and integration frameworks.
- Develop role-based policies, enforce Segregation of Duties (SoD), and design scalable IAM solutions.
- Lead upgrades, patching, optimization, and security hardening initiatives.
- Oversee Single Sign-On (SSO) and provisioning integrations for complex applications.
- Build and maintain custom workflows, connectors, and integrations for IGA systems.
- Manage advanced authentication mechanisms.
- Drive access certification campaigns and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Perform IGA workflow monitoring, troubleshooting, and connector customization.
- Address Okta vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert-level support for lifecycle management, onboarding identities, and access workflows.
- Lead incident/problem management, including root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Automate repetitive tasks and optimize operational processes.
- Act as the primary liaison with security teams, application/infra teams, and external vendors.
- Resolve complex issues with vendors and coordinate architecture enhancements.
The media client is currently facing cost pressures in their IT department. To address this, they're transitioning support for around 600 applications to their India-based center, which will act as a Managed Services Provider (MSP). As part of this shift, the India team is building a large support group-but they also need a U.S.
-based team in Los Angeles to be the face of IT support for Sony Pictures locally. This LA team will work directly with company stakeholders and collaborate closely with the global team in India.
- Based in Los Angeles, supporting the client on-site.
- Requires a mix of strong technical skills (e.g., Active Directory, SAP, Cornerstone, etc.) and excellent communication.
- Candidates should be comfortable working with global teams, especially with colleagues in India.
- Work hours may be slightly flexible-typically starting earlier in the day to align with India's time zone.
This is a Contract position based out of Culver City, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
