Wholesale Operations Director

A growing lifestyle brand is seeking a seasoned Wholesale Operations Director to lead wholesale execution, improve internal processes, and strengthen cross‑functional coordination across sales, operations, logistics, finance, production, and warehouse teams. This person will play a central role in ensuring orders move accurately and efficiently from entry through fulfillment while building scalable systems to support continued growth.

This is a hybrid position based in Culver City, California, working Monday through Friday.

Position Overview
  • Lead day‑to‑day wholesale operations and order management
  • Improve systems, reporting, and process efficiency
  • Support sales performance through timely and accurate order execution
  • Partner across departments to align inventory, shipping, production, and customer requirements
  • Manage and develop wholesale operations team members
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee wholesale order flow, including order entry, updates, validation, and issue resolution
  • Monitor open orders, shipping timelines, and fulfillment progress to ensure delivery windows are met
  • Maintain accuracy across pricing, inventory, product details, and order data
  • Drive automation and process improvements that increase speed, visibility, and scalability
  • Partner with sales and logistics teams to manage shipping requirements, routing guides, and account expectations
  • Coordinate with finance and production teams on vendor documentation, product information, and operational needs
  • Create and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and KPI tracking for leadership review
  • Work closely with warehouse partners on allocation, fulfillment priorities, and shipment readiness
  • Manage open order reporting, ETA communication, shipping plans, and related updates to internal stakeholders
  • Address operational challenges by identifying gaps, resolving technical issues, and improving workflows
Systems and EDI Oversight
  • Supervise account setup and wholesale operational onboarding
  • Partner with operations teams on EDI integrations, order processing, inventory coordination, and fulfillment execution
  • Ensure accuracy of EDI transactions, documentation, and outbound shipment details for domestic and international partners
  • Oversee non-direct wholesale platforms and related shipping approvals, documentation, tracking, and proof‑of‑delivery updates
  • Manage invoicing, payment requests, and customer billing processes for accounts outside of factor‑managed workflows
Leadership and Team Development
  • Manage, coach, and support the wholesale operations team
  • Contribute to hiring, performance reviews, growth planning, and advancement recommendations
  • Approve time off requests and timesheets

    Set clear priorities and maintain strong service standards across internal and external partnerships
Reporting and Business Performance
  • Generate regular sales, inventory, and fulfillment reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Track drop‑ship service levels, compliance, and performance metrics
  • Support revenue goals through strong oversight of shipping targets and month‑end fulfillment activity
  • Deliver visibility into wholesale performance through organized, reliable reporting
Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of wholesale experience
  • Experience working with major retail partners
  • ERP experience required
  • Background managing a 3PL environment
  • Experience leading teams and supporting systems implementation or transformation efforts
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and related functions
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Collaborative approach and strong cross‑functional partnership skills
